On the eve of the real NBA draft next Wednesday, 27 June 2007, No Mas, the art, apparel and media company that explores “the deeper meaning of sports” is holding its own draft, The Lottery. Described as a retrospective redrafting of the first 105 lottery picks from 1985-1995, every attendee of the event is considered a manager and has the opportunity to draft an original portrait of these famous 105. (Pictured above left.) The Warholesque portraits are beautifully crafted and framed and 105 people attending the event will walk away with one of these pieces free of charge. The chances of snagging an original piece of artwork are high and the event is really something new and different.
